Ceiling Microphones
Ceiling microphones pick up every voice in a meeting room without cables or microphones on the table, which keeps boardrooms, training rooms and huddle spaces clean and makes video calls sound natural. Shure Microflex Advance Ceiling Arrays
The Shure MXA920 covers a 30 x 30 ft area with Automatic Coverage, 8 pickup lobes and Dante or AES67 with PoE on one cable. The MXA925 adds AI-enabled IntelliMix DSP with AI echo cancellation, denoising and de-reverberation. The MXA902 combines a ceiling array microphone and a 2.5 inch loudspeaker in one unit with 20 x 20 ft coverage, and the Shure IntelliMix Room Kits bundle it into complete Microsoft Teams Rooms systems. For USB rooms, the Stem CEILING1 uses 100 microphones and connects to a PC by USB or to the Stem Ecosystem.
Biamp Parlé and Devio Beamtracking Microphones
The Biamp Parlé TCM-X is a low profile 150 mm ceiling microphone with four 90 degree zones for 360 degree coverage and no lobe aiming or room mapping. The Devio DCM-1 is a pendant ceiling microphone with three 120 degree zones and four elevation modes, and the BMA 360D drops into a 24 inch ceiling grid with up to 12 directable beams and native Dante. Devio conferencing hubs with ceiling microphones and complete meeting room bundles are also listed.
Yealink and Audio-Technica Ceiling Microphones
The Yealink CM20 has 16 microphones across 8 pickup zones with AI noise reduction and integrated DSP for Yealink MVC rooms, and the CM50 uses 127 microphones with a 5 metre pickup radius, an acoustic fence and Dante with PoE. One VCM38 covers up to 40 square metres. The Audio-Technica ATND1061 beamforming ceiling array offers user-defined coverage, priority and exclusion zones, with onboard echo cancellation and automix.
Choosing a Ceiling Microphone
- Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms on a USB setup: a USB array such as the Shure CEILING1, or a Biamp Devio conferencing hub with ceiling microphone
- Dante networked boardroom: Shure MXA920 or MXA925, Biamp BMA 360D, Yealink CM50 or Audio-Technica ATND1061DAN
- Yealink MVC video conferencing room: Yealink CM20 or VCM38
- No space for a separate speaker: Shure MXA902 with its built-in loudspeaker
- Large room: several units, for example a Biamp TCM-X with a TCM-XEX expansion microphone, or up to 8 Yealink VCM38 units
Design, Installation and Support
Our team checks room size, ceiling height and type (grid, hard ceiling or pendant), the DSP or video conferencing platform and the number of seats before recommending a microphone, and supplies matching mounts such as the Shure A910-HCM hard ceiling mount and the Biamp TB-1 ceiling tile bridge. Every product is sourced through authorized channels with the manufacturer warranty.
