It is a figure-8 electret condenser with a 50 Hz to 17 kHz response, sensitivity of 14 mV/Pa, maximum SPL of 123 dB, dynamic range of 94 dB and equivalent noise of 29 dB. A 150 Hz, 6 dB per octave high-pass filter is built in.
A figure-8 pattern picks up from the front and rear of the microphone and rejects sound from the sides, which suits two people sitting opposite each other across a table or a counter. Choose the cardioid MX395W/C for talkers on one side only.
