The compact d&b audiotechnik Y8 is a 2-way passive line array loudspeaker for vertical columns. Two 8 in drivers in a dipole arrangement and a central 1.4 in compression driver with a wave transformer give full bandwidth from 54 Hz to 19 kHz, with 80 degree horizontal directivity controlled down to 500 Hz. Arrays of up to twenty four cabinets use splay angles from 0 to 14 degrees in 1 degree steps, alone or with Y12 and Y-SUB cabinets.
