Laser Projectors for Meeting Rooms and Classrooms
For meeting rooms and classrooms, start with the ZW350E (4,000 lumens, WXGA), ZW350ST (3,600 lumens, WXGA, short throw) WXGA models or the 1080p ZH350ST (3,500 lumens, 1080p, short throw), ZH420 (4,300 lumens, 1080p), ZH430UST (4,000 lumens, 1080p, ultra short throw), ZH450ST (4,200 lumens, 1080p, short throw; Optoma lists it as end of life). Where the projector must sit close to the screen, the ultra short throw ZH430UST and ZU500USTE fit a wall or a whiteboard wall. The ZU507TST gives WUXGA detail at 5,000 lumens from a short throw position.
4K UHD Laser Projectors
Optoma's 4K UHD models are the ZK608TST (6,000 lumens, short throw), ZK708T (7,000 lumens, standard throw), ZK810TST (8,500 lumens, short throw). They suit detailed visuals, design reviews and boardrooms where every pixel counts, and they list a laser light source rated for up to 30,000 hours.
WUXGA Laser Projectors for Halls and Venues
For auditoriums, houses of worship and training halls, the WUXGA range runs from the ZU607T (6,500 lumens), ZU607TST (6,000 lumens, short throw), ZU707T (7,000 lumens) through the ZU725TST (7,200 lumens, short throw; Optoma lists it as end of life), ZU820T (8,800 lumens), ZU820TST (8,200 lumens, short throw), ZU920T (9,800 lumens), ZU920TST (9,800 lumens, short throw). For the largest rooms and live events, the ZU1100 (11,500 lumens), ZU1300 (14,400 lumens), ZU1900 (19,000 lumens, lens sold separately), ZU2200 (22,000 lumens) take interchangeable lenses, so the throw ratio depends on the lens you fit.
Lamp and Portable Projectors
If you prefer a lamp projector, the EH401 (4,000 lumens, 1080p) and the HD146X (3,600 lumens, 1080p; Optoma lists it as end of life) list lamp life of 4,000 hours in bright mode. The PK32 is the Optoma Photon Life 4K UHD LED portable projector with auto focus.

Lenses: the motorized lens range covers short throw (BX-CTA15 at 0.75 to 0.95:1, BX-CAA01 at 1.0 to 1.28:1), standard throw (BX-CAA06 at 1.22 to 1.53:1), long throw (BX-CAA03 at 1.6 to 3.07:1) and extra long throw (BX-CTA13 at 2.9 to 5.5:1), plus the BX-CTA11, BX-CTA17, BX-CTA18, BX-CTA19, BX-CTA20, BX-CTA21, BX-CTA22, BX-CTA23 and BX-CTA27.
