The Shure ADX2FD/B58-G57 uses the Beta 58A supercardioid dynamic capsule, a rugged touring vocal mic capsule, paired with the Frequency Diversity ADX2FD transmitter body.
The ADX2FD/B58-G57 operates on the G57 band, approximately 470 to 616 MHz, and must be paired with an Axient Digital receiver tuned to the same G57 band.
Yes. The ADX2FD/B58-G57 can transmit on two discrete RF carriers simultaneously in Frequency Diversity mode, giving a paired Axient Digital receiver a backup signal path for mission-critical live events.
On the SB920A rechargeable battery, the ADX2FD/B58-G57 runs up to 9 hours in single-carrier mode at 10 mW, or up to 6.5 hours when using Frequency Diversity mode with two active RF carriers.
The Beta 58A dynamic capsule on the ADX2FD/B58-G57 handles high sound pressure levels and rough handling well, a common choice for touring rock and pop vocalists who want a rugged mic feel over a condenser's extended detail.
