The Shure A710AL-4FT-HOUSING is a 4 foot empty mechanical housing in aluminium that looks like a real MXA710 microphone. It is an A710AL-style case assembly with no electronics inside, used where the look of a 4 foot MXA710 is wanted without a working microphone.
No. Per Shure, the A710 housing doesn't contain any electrical parts, status LED or RJ-45 connector, so the A710AL-4FT-HOUSING cannot connect to a network or indicate mute status.
The difference is the finish: AL in the part number is aluminium, W is white and B is black. All three are 4 foot empty housings with no electronics, status LED or RJ-45 connector.
The A710AL-4FT-HOUSING can be mounted using any of the same mounting methods as an MXA710 microphone, so an installer can reuse the mounting approach planned for a real 4 foot MXA710.
Choose the A710AL-4FT-HOUSING when only the appearance of a 4 foot aluminium MXA710 is needed, since it has no electronics. Choose a working MXA710 when the room needs actual microphone pickup.
