A digital signal processor routes and shapes audio using mixing, equalisation, dynamics, delay and echo cancellation. In meeting rooms it combines microphones, speakers and conferencing software into a clear, controlled sound system.
Add up the power the speakers need at their impedance or transformer taps, then choose an amplifier with headroom above that total. For 70V or 100V lines, total the tap wattages of all speakers on the line.
Acoustic echo cancellation removes the far-end audio picked up by microphones so remote participants do not hear themselves. It is essential in video conferencing rooms and is built into conferencing DSPs and many mixer-amplifiers.
Many processors and amplifiers support Dante or similar networking for flexible routing over standard Ethernet. Ask us to confirm support for your chosen model.
